Welcome to the Amsterdam International Community School!
The Amsterdam International Community School is a Dutch International Primary and Secondary School offering international education in English. The AICS caters for the needs of students of all nationalities living in the Netherlands who require high-quality, accessible, community-based international learning.
We are a school for students who are able and prepared to value and handle differences and diversity. Our education aims to teach our students to become compassionate and wise human beings through knowledge and inquiry.
At the AICS, important values underpin our work. They include diversity, integrity, inquiry and community. These values embody who we are and they are the starting point for achieving our goal, which is to provide our students with the highest possible quality of teaching and learning.
We offer education for children/students from 4 to 19 years. We are an IB World School, which means that we offer the International Baccalaureate programme. In addition to our Primary and Secondary Schools we provide day care, out-of-school care and lunchtime supervision for children aged between 0 and 12.
The AICS is part of the Esprit Scholengroep, a large group of different schools in Amsterdam.
