We are proud to be part of a new and exciting partnership with the Nieuw Vocaal Amsterdam (NVA).  The NVA is a classical singing school for children and young adults, with members from Amsterdam and the surrounding areas. NVA is the designated children's choir partner of the Dutch National Opera, with students singing and acting in special selection casts. There is an additional collaboration with the Conservatorium of Amsterdam, Music School Amsterdam, the Leerorkest, and Cappella Amsterdam.  Students in higher levels who demonstrate commitment and progress may have the opportunity to be invited to take part in a project at the Dutch National Opera. The official languages in these choirs are English and/or Dutch.

It is now possible for AICS MYP students to follow part of the NVA programme during school hours on campus and to participate in one of the NVA choirs.  Each choir performs at least twice a year together with the other Nieuw Vocaal Amsterdam groups. Students also have the opportunity to attend an annual study weekend to work on different projects.  Life-long friendships are formed at NVA!
