Hi, I am Shaheen. I am the Chair of the South Campus and have been an active member of the APS since we arrived at AICS 5 years ago. My family relocated from Mauritius but I am Indian and have lived in England, the US, Kenya and South Africa. At each of our previous schools I have been an active member of the parent body. I am looking forward to working with our leadership team this year in strengthening our community further. I currently have two children at AICS in MYP2 and MYP3.

Treasurer

Sudheer

Hello, I’m Sudheer Yalla, and my son is in Group 4 at AICS South. We’re originally from India and have been living in Amstelveen for the past seven years.

This is my second year serving as Treasurer for APS, and I’m also leading the implementation of an ERP tool to digitise and streamline APS operations for better transparency and collaboration.

Professionally, I run my own consultancy firm, where I help small and medium-sized businesses digitise their processes and operations. With over 18 years of experience in finance, technology, and engineering, I’m passionate about using smart solutions to make everyday operations simpler and more effective.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing badminton and tennis, and I’m always eager to support the school community in meaningful ways.

Secretary

Jane

Hello, my name is Jane Zhang, and my children are in Group 7 and DP1. My family moved to Amsterdam in 2022, and since then I have concluded my 20 years professional career in product marketing. Currently, my main focus is supporting my children, and I also work as a Chinese teacher. My daughter joined AICS last year, and I have been involved with APS since then, which I have found to be a very welcoming and valuable organization. This year, I am honored to be elected as APS secretary, and I look forward to working with all of you.

Comms Lead

Aparna

Hello, I’m Aparna, and this is my first year serving as the Communications Lead for the APS. I truly believe that clear, open communication is essential for building trust and strengthening our school community. My family and I have been living in the Netherlands for 10 years, and my son attends primary school at AICS. Ensuring that every parent feels informed, included, and connected is something I genuinely value.

Professionally, I bring 15 years of experience in software development and currently work as a Backend Manager. My work has taught me the importance of structured communication, collaboration, and bringing people together around shared goals. Outside of work, I love dancing and have organised several Bollywood dance events — something that brings me a lot of joy and energy.

As Communication Lead, I hope to help strengthen the connection between families and the school through open, timely, and friendly communication, creating a supportive environment where our children can thrive .
