The AICS is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School; in Secondary School we work with the IB Middle Years Programme, IB Diploma Programme and the IB Careers-related Programme.
In October 2021, the AICS will be the first Dutch international school to offer all four IB programmes with the inclusion of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) (currently in candidacy phase). This makes the AICS one of only about 40 international schools world-wide to offer the full IB continuum.
Students first follow the Middle Years Programme (MYP). After successfully completing this five-year programme with a MYP certificate, students enrol either in the Diploma Programme (DP) or Careers-related Programme (CP). The DP and CP run for the last two years in Secondary School.
The aim of these programmes is to develop active learners and internationally minded people, who, recognising their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better, more peaceful world.
IB learners, our students, strive to be inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, risk-takers, balanced and reflective. These are all included in the IB Learners Profile, which we use as a guideline in educating our students.

Starting in school year 2020/2021, we intend to offer the IB Career-related Programme.
The Career-related Programme (CP) is designed for students interested in pursuing a career-related (vocational) education in the final two years of Secondary School.
